“Because I Love You” (BILY) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting parents with troubled children of any age. We promote structure, consequences and consistency in raising our kids.  BILY Canada launched on February 13, 2010.  Since that time, we have helped hundreds of families in and around the Edmonton area.   In June 2011 - The BILY Youth Group was launched - Now Teens (12 to 19) can also talk about their week with youth leaders who care, listen about the decisions they are making in a safe, confidential environment.  Helping youth/parents communicate with each other.    We help parents, grandparents, step-parents, single parents, etc.  deal with drug abuse, alcohol abuse, cutting, runaways, criminal activity, skipping school, verbal abuse, physical abuse, curfew, dress codes, problem friends and so much more.  We help parents learn to act instead of react by using the "Ten Steps to Success".  Parents learn they are not alone.  “BILY” was started by Dennis Poncher in 1982 with just eight parents and has grown to numerous locations throughout the United States and now in Canada. Since 1982, BILY has helped nearly 700,000 thousand parents.  Parents who have attended our program and have seen runaways return home, truants return to school and graduate, children who were dependent on substances have become clean and sober and families have been reunited.
